Rock Hill Ventures is managed by Hal S. Broderson, MD MBA. Dr. Broderson has invested in and provided advice and interim management to client companies over a successful 25+ year career while evaluating, acquiring, managing and exiting biomedical technology companies. He has founded and provided CEO services to seven companies in seven different therapeutic areas. He has a broad skill set with extensive experience funding, growing and managing venture capital backed biomedical technology companies. During his career, he has raised multiple rounds of capital and advanced five therapeutic product candidates from the preclinical IND stage through Phase 2 trials. He has taken two products from bench to bedside garnering FDA approval in the process. As both a General Partner in a venture capital fund and a senior operating executive, he has structured and participated in liquidity events including mergers, acquisitions and initial public offerings.
Dr. Broderson received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and his MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
